Doritos, I am Putting You On Notice
I don't play an instrument but I do like to make up band names. One name I have always liked was Tacos at Midnight. Doritos, you have been officially placed On Notice. If your next flavor is Brad and the Chimichanga's then we are going to have a serious problem.

My New Favorite Song This Week
This weeks favorite song is Missing Cleveland from Scott Weiland. How anyone can miss Cleveland is hard to imagine, but this song has been stuck in my head for a few days now so I guess it's my new favorite.

The World's Most Famous Arena
Nittany Nation invades NYC! We will get to that in a few days. The reason for this post is all about me. I live near Scranton, Pa. New York City is 109.75 miles from my house. Philadelphia is 131.16 miles. Pittsburgh is 299.40 miles. Driving, Philly is the closest, then NYC, but not by much. Philly is just an easier ride. Why am I saying this? I have been to Giants Stadium, Continental Airlines Arena, Nassau Coliseum, Yankee Stadium, and Shea Stadium in New York/Jersey. In Philly I have been to the Vet, the Spectrum (but only for a Pearl Jam concert), and the 3 news ones. In Pittsburgh I was at Three Rivers, PNC, Mellon, and Heinz Field. I have never been to Madison Square Garden. How did this happen? I've been to a lot of sporting events but never one at MSG. It's only 2 hours from here but yet, never seen it. Well that's not true. I did walk by it a few times so I guess I have never been in it. Tuesday may be the perfect time for my first visit. Or Thursday but I don't want to get ahead of myself. Then again, I never thought PSU would beat Florida. Plus, like ALL Penn State fans, I hate Notre Dame. Maybe Tuesday. Then maybe Thursday. If you're still reading, State College to New York City is 236.68 miles.

Jose Tabata's Old Lady Arrested On Kidnapping Charges
Future bobblehead Jose Tabata's wife was arrested for allegedly kidnapping a 2 month old girl in Plant City, Florida. Tabata has been cleared of any wrongdoing by the Manatee County Sheriff's office, according to PiratesReport.com. Wow, didn't see this one coming. Amaila Tabata Pereiera,43, was charged with false imprisonment, inference with child custody and impersonating a social service worker. 43? Dude, she's fucking old. Like old enough to be your mother. Then again, maybe not. How old is Tabata anyway? He's says he's 20 but is he really older than that? He doesn't look it. I haven't seen a picture of his wife yet, maybe she doesn't either. Maybe she's smokin' hot and just likes to kidnap little kids. Hey, what you do on your own time is your business, as long as you're hot, 20 year old future millionaires will fuck you.

Penn State @ Florida Tonight @ 9
The road to Madison Square Garden gets harder tonight when the Nittany Lions (24-11) travel to Gainesville to play the #1 seeded Gators (25-10). Jamelle Cornley is still listed as day-to-day (aren't we all) and will be a game time decision. This is only the 3rd meeting between the schools. Everyone remembers that classic game in 1965 when the Lions won 54-52. The other meeting was in 1982 when Florida won 82-60. Penn State has only two wins in their history in the state of Florida, the last one in 1974 over Jacksonville. Penn State is a 10.5 point dog. The game can be seen on ESPN at 9. Go Lions!

The Janne Pesonen Show! WBS Pens 3- Philly 2 SO
Janne Pesonen scored 2 regulation goals and also scored the winning shootout goal as the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins beat the Philadelphia Phantoms 3-2. Miroslav Satan also scored in the shootout as the Pens improved on their playoff position. No recap, just pics.

Another Bobblehead In The News
The Pirates sent Tom Gorzelanny to AAA Indianapolis today to work on his weight gain. GM Neil Huntington was concerned about Gorzo losing too much weight that all the fans will now start to make fun of his pitching.

Pirates vs Rays Live Blog
Brian from Raise The Jolly Roger and Ron from The Green Weenie are doing this and we just joined them.
Penn State Fans, Don't Blame The Committee
Of course I wanted to see Penn State in the NCAA's. The fact that Arizona got in over Penn State is a joke. But the real joke in all this is Penn State's out of conference schedule. NJIT, Sacred Heart, New Hampshire are just some games that Penn State had no right playing. And don't forget about that Philly Hoops Classic or whatever it was called. What a joke that was. That "Classic" hurt PSU's RPI rating more than the games in the beginning of the year. The only OOC game that was worthy was Georgia Tech and they only played them because of the annual Big 10-Acc tourney. Ok, and maybe playing Penn was a good idea but c'mon, the rest of their OOC games were a joke. I have no idea why Penn State does this but it happens in football every year. Look at last year when PSU played no one. What if they beat Iowa? Do you really think they would have played in the BCS game with that weak OOC schedule? Probably not. So enough crying. Penn State deserves to be in the NIT. A loss by a major college basketball team would have helped their NCAA resume more than a win over NJIT. In case you still care, the Lions (22-11) play George Mason (22-10) tomorrow at 8. The game is on ESPNU and I don't get that channel because Comcast Sucks!

PSU 66 - IU 51
Penn State didn't have much trouble with Indiana today, winning 66-51. The bigger question is just how bad is Talor Battle hurt. Hopefully he was just being rested because of the score. I now believe the Lions are a lock for the dance. Up next is Purdue tomorrow at 9. The game will only be on the Big Ten Network. Go Lions!
Indiana vs Penn State Today @ 5
Penn State (21-10; 10-8 Big Ten) plays Indiana (6-24; 1-17 Big Ten) in the Big Ten Tournament today at 5. PSU had their best regular season ever. Now the fun starts. PSU is on the bubble and a loss here would be devastating. This is a must win. Don't let the Hoosiers record fool you because they gave the Lions all they could handle in the regualr season. PSU was a 65-55 winner in Bloomington back on 1/17 for their first win ever at Indiana. On 2/28 PSU got lucky and escaped with a 61-58 win in State College. The Tournament is in Indianapolis so this game will not be an easy one. Go Lions!

Album Review- Dan Auerbach- Keep It Hid
Dan Auerbach, one half of the Black Keys, released his first solo album, Keep It Hid.
The Pros- Keep It Hid sounds like the stuff we are used to hearing from Auerbach in his full time job with the Black Keys. Auerbach quickly squashes any thoughts that he can't do it alone. From the opening track Trouble Weighs A Ton to the fantastic I Want Some More, Auerbach makes you want some more when the album ends. 14 tracks strong, Keep It Hid is solid from start to finish. While sounding different from the Keys at times, Auerbach still has that sound that made him famous to begin with. I'm usually not a big fan of band members that put out solo stuff but if this is what we get, I can deal with it. If you are a fan of the Black Keys or just a fan of sleazy, bluesy rock 'n roll, buy this now. A great album to hold us over until the next Keys CD. This will be right at the top of most music critics year end lists and well deserving.
The Cons- I got nothing.

My New Favorite Song This Week
I feel that I ignore all other types of music other than rock on this blog. I listen to rock more than anything else so that's probably why. Not this week. Here is a cool song from a band called Little Jackie. Imani Coppola and Adam Pallin make up Little Jackie and I was a huge fan of Coppola's back in the day. In the summer of 1997 she had a song called Legend of a Cowgirl that I still blast in the house. Hell , let's have two favs this week. Proof that people only listen to shit music: The Stoop reached #138 on the music charts in '08. Legend of a Cowgirl fared better hitting #41 back in 1997. And for some reason unknown to mankind, Nickelback sells 25 million albums.
