What's with the outrage? A pierogi was fired? Who gives a shit? Seriously welcome to the real world you clown.
I'm not going to delve too deep into it (because I'm not a moron like Pierogi Master) but I work for, what is generally accepted as, one of the better companies in the nation. If I come on this blog and say nasty things about them, warranted or not, I will be fired. No doubt. This isn't something new, or even bad.
If you blast your employer publicly it has a very negative impact on them because they are writing your paychecks. It's no different than going on TV or the radio and blasting your employer, why would you expect the Pirates to be different than many employers?
This kid got a great lesson, it's called responsibility. Sure it might get a couple laughs on Facebook, but you really should realize the consequences your, probably unfunny, joke has. Hopefully this kid can move on now and this will be a great lesson for him. Maybe he will be able to assimilate into the adult world.
