Penguins (0-2-0, 0 pts)
Devils (0-1-1, 1 pt)
Where: Prudential Center
When: 4:00 pm
TV: FSN
Both teams are looking to put their bad opening weekends behind them and start fresh for their season. Unfortunately, only 1 will be able to. For the Pens, they will be relying extra on FA pickup Dman Paul Martin who is familiar with the Devils trap system and how to beat it. Hopefully this info will come in handy because the Pens were unable to beat it at all last year. Also note that this game is on at 4:00. (those of us who don't have the day off can thank the fine folks down in NJ)
Opponents to Watch:
Ilya Kovalchuk- Keep an eye on Kovalchuk at all times, and not just because he may be the only one with the puck.
Travis Zajac- The silent killer on the line between Parise and Kovalchuk, Zajac is effective in slipping under the radar while the 2 superstars draw the attention of the defense.
Martin Brodeur- He is beatable, its just that the Pens weren't able to figure him out last year.
Notes:
-Volchenkov is questionable, still recovering from a nose injury he suffered Saturday vs the Caps
-Bylsma has not yet said whether to expect Fleury or Johnson.
Live Notes:
Johnson between the pipes tonight.
Orpik out also
Devils starting short bench today because of their injuries/lack of cap room.
Starting Lineup:
Kunitz-Crosby-Comrie
Tangradi-Letestu-Malkin
Cooke-Talbot-Kennedy
Rupp-Adams-Dupuis
Martin-Letang
Goligoski-Michalek
Lovejoy-Engelland
