After dispatching with the hapless Manatees the Pirates turn their attention to a somewhat bigger fish (although a substantially smaller oceanic species). The Pirates will take on David Price and the Tampa Bay Rays in what will be their first true Spring Training game. Mr. Electric Stuff himself, Charlie Morton, is your starter today, followed by many with very realistic futures in this organization.
Pitchers:
Charlie Morton
Brad Lincoln
Chris Resop
Daniel Moskos
Daniel McCutchen
Cesar Valdez
Justin Thomas
Moskos probably still ends up in AAA, but Resop, Lincoln, McCutchen, and Resop are all very realistic candidates to make the team.
I know it sounds crazy but this lineup doesn't look too absurdly bad:
1. Jose Tabata, LF
2. Neil Walker, 2B
3. Andrew Mccutchen, CF
4. Pedro Alvarez, 3B
5. Matt Diaz, RF
6. Lyle Overbay, 1B
7. Ryan Doumit, DH
8. Chris Snyder, C
9. Ronny Cedeno, SS
Very interested to see Pedro and Diaz personally. I just have a feeling Diaz will be more than a platoon player.
