Bob McKenzie has tweeted that the Pittsburgh Penguins have trade the Ottawa Senators a conditional draft pick for Alexei Kovalev.
As you probably know Kovalev spent parts of 5 seasons with the Penguins before being traded to the Rangers during the 2002-03 season. The RW has 27 points in 54 games this season with the Senators.
The draft pick the Penguins gave up was a conditional pick. Basically the Senators get a 7th round pick which can become a 6th round pick if the Penguins advance farther than the first round of the playoffs and Kovalev plays 50% + of the games.
