Jose Tabata will be sidelined at least a few days due to tightness in his hamstring. Manager Clint Hurdle said he will get a "couple of days" to heal up.
Tabata came up limping after running out a ground ball last night against the Rockies in the first inning. Matt Diaz came in to replace him and immediately turned a fly ball Tabata probably catches into a double. That double was the start of the four run inning that led to the Pirates loss last night.
I would expect Diaz and Jones to man the outfield again tonight, despite Diaz's struggles hitting anyone and his very mediocre range in the outfield.
Diaz is trying very hard to earn the nickname Mastings Dilledge.
