Well a win is a win I guess. It seems like these guys still let their guard down late though doesn’t it? Why can’t the Penguins play a full 60 minutes?
Two road wins in a row, both on the west coast though, can’t complain too much about that!
No goals for the great Matt Cooke in this game, but he did wind up taking a pretty vicious head shot. Every Penguin that scored a goal last night picked up their first one.
They were Tyler Kennedy, Matt Niskanen, Craig Adams, Evgeni Malkin, and Jordan Staal.
The two point game for Niskanen was nice, but he still managed to be a -1, though there were only two + players in this game for the Penguins, Jordan Staal and Zbynek Michalek.
The Flames goals basically came from their stars. Curtis Glencross started off with the games first but Calgary was kept off the board until the third when Rene Bourque and Olli Jokinen scored.
The Penguins continue their tour of Canada, and actually wrap up this leg of it tonight against the Edmonton Oilers. Apparently the Penguins are in very high demand because for the third straight game they will be their opponents home opener. Not only that they will be their opponents first game of the season!
Who: Pittsburgh Penguins (2-0) vs. Edmonton Oilers (0-0)
Where: Rexall Place

Once again the Penguins will face off against a team they only played once last season, but beat. The Pens kicked the hell out of the Oilers last season, embarrassing them 5-1.
Chris Kunitz had two of those goals while Zbynek Michalek, Jordan Staal, and Benedict Talbot added one a piece.
Tyler Kennedy had three assists in that game as well.
Marc-Andre Fleury was great, making 28 saves on 29 shots.
