Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Buffalo Sabres – Game Six

So the Penguins lost to the Capitals in the regular season, what else is new?  The Pens played a good game and dominated in many aspects.  The only thing that really grinds my gears is that OV-GYN got his first goal of the season.

What a guy.

The Penguins now have eight points in five games, aka a five game point streak.

The Pens treated the Sabres like the Capitals treated the Pens last season, except it was just a little worse as the Sabres didn’t beat the Pens at all in four games.

Your goal scorers were Pascal Dupuis (1), Dustin Jeffrey (2), Arron Asham (1), Alex Goligoski (1), Mike Rupp (1), Matt Cooke (2),  Tyler Kennedy (1), James Neal (1), Zbynek Michalek (1), Mark Letestu (1).

When you look at that list like that it’s pretty sweet to see that so many people contributed on this team.  Ten guys scored twelve goals and none of them were scored by the big three centers Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, or Jordan Staal.

Matt Cooke vs. Jason Pominville:

That video doesn’t show it too well but Matt Cooke actually did yank Jason Pominville’s tampon out very, very hard, which is why they called this a fight.

One thing that needs to be stated here is that Ryan Miller sucks out loud against the Penguins.

Over the course of his career Miller is just 4-9 against the Penguins over 17 games.  His save percentage of .886 is his lowest versus any team and his 3.25 Goals Against Average is the highest.  Pittsburgh owns Miller.

It’s almost as if Ryan Miller is a closet Penguins fan………
