Once again the Penguins pull one out while not playing a full hockey game. The score isn’t very hard to believe, but the fact they were down 3-1 and then proceeded to score the next five goals unanswered is. The Avalanche have some big holes, as was mentioned in that preview, mostly the goalie.
Fleury wasn’t the greatest in the beginning, but he calmed down and really shut the door after the first period.
The Penguins won’t have the luxury of a mediocre offense and downright awful goaltending this time out, so it’s imperative that they don’t get behind the 8 ball early.

Let me preface this all with a quick note, the Tampa Bay Lightning make me sick. Their stupid 1-4-1 trap needs to be banned from hockey. It is the most boring style of hockey you can play, and it’s not hockey. I loved what the Flyers did last week:
There is the one nice thing I’ll say about your stupid team Philadelphia.
Now you might think that this is just sour grapes, it isn’t. Tampa is a crappy market, that will never grow with a boring team. If the Lightning aren’t going to actually play hockey they should just move the team.
I’m not usually one to say that, but this boring brand of hockey will never catch on, especially in such a non-traditional hockey market.
Not only that it hurts the sport in general.
This isn’t about that though, so the rant is over.
The New Jersey Devils 2.0 (sorry) knocked the Penguins out of the playoffs last season. It happens. The Pens had every opportunity in that series and squandered it.
The Penguins were 2-2 against the Lightning in the regular season, 3-4 in the playoffs. These teams were clearly very evenly matched.
Your regular season goal scorers were Craig Adams (1), Matt Cooke (1), Pascal Dupuis (2), Alex Goligoski (2), Max Talbot (1), Sidney Crosby (1), Deryk Engelland (1), Evgeni Malkin (1), Chris Conner (1), Tyler Kennedy (1), Chris Kunitz (3), Mark Letestu (1), Mike Rupp (1).
Nothing like spreading out the scoring huh?
And how about a Chris Kunitz hat trick?
Just his second career hat trick!
Not one damn fight in that regular season series.
Anyone remember this though?
Steve Downie is an unreal piece of shit.
Thank you Drew Doughty.
Love you Georges!
Hopefully we can see some more from James Neal!
And last but not least, this piece of amazing that someone awesome made.
We won’t hold the fact that they are Kings fans against them either.
