Well Brodus Clay finally made his long awaited return and it was surprising to say the least.
Yeah, definitely not what I was expecting.
This repackaging is getting blasted pretty heavily. It is really corny, but I actually like it! Rikishi was a pretty big star and this is at least somewhat similar to his days with Scotty 2 Hotty and Grandmaster Sexay. It also gives him a chance to get over with the fans a bit, after which the WWE can build on his character and really take it wherever they want.
He obviously didn’t get over when he was just a big brute as Alberto Del Rio’s bodyguard so the face turn is welcome.
The internet community is blasting it because of the aforementioned corniness, but would you rather a somewhat charismatic Funkasaurus, or a charisma-less tough guy like Mason Ryan who consistently can’t get over?
