The Pittsburgh Pirates have tendered offers to Neil Walker, James McDonald, Joel Hanrahan, Garrett Jones, and Gaby Sanchez. No real surprise there.
Charlie Morton has also agreed to a deal with the Pirates. No word on what that deal entails but it’s at least slightly amusing that Charlie Morton, who will almost certainly miss time this season due to his rehab from Tommy John Surgery, will be with the team while Jeff Karstens, who at least was partially non-tendered due to durability concerns will not, despite being healthy.
