It’s time for yet another installment of “It’s Not About You Theatre”. Weeks after the BBWA made Baseball Hall of Fame voting about no one but themselves, Beaver County Times Writer Chris Bradford has come out gun ablazing to one up them.
How dare Evgeni Malkin not talk to Chris Bradford! Do you know who Chris Bradford is?!? No seriously, does anyone know who he is?
The nerve of Evgeni Malkin, who struggles with English in the first place, to not talk to the media after flight delays AND a nearly three hour long practice on his first day in the country.
Bradford mentioned this in his column,
Is it plausible that Malkin was too fatigued after a long trip? Sure, but not tired enough to partake in a nearly three-hour practice?
Exactly Chris! How dare he prioritize practice, PRACTICE, over talking to the Beaver County Times. I mean he is paid to talk to the media right? That is his absolute first priority, no? I mean, it’s not like the Penguins are going to play the sport in a few days, right?
I can’t believe the arrogance, the sheer obscenity of a man who just flew to the country, speaks very little of the language, and just endured a three hour hockey practice. To not talk to the media the instant practice was over? Unconscionable. To wait a whole 24 hours to talk to members of a dying industry in the sticks of Pennsylvania? Unforgivable.
