Zayd Issah, a standout football player from Central Dauphin High School, is facing charges for “an alleged scheme to pass counterfeit money at a local McDonald’s”.
The arrest papers state that three suspects, Issah and two of his friends, fled the scene once the police showed up.
Police found Facebook messages between Zayd and one of the suspects in which they acknowledged that they knew the money was fake. Issah also said he was “seeking a plan to ‘clean‘ it”.
Issah’s preliminary hearing is set for May 9th. Zayd Issah’s status with the Penn State football program is still up in the air.
Zayd Issah was a 3 star recruit coming out of high school and is a key member of Penn States’ 2013 recruiting class. He came in as an “athlete”, but was going to end up playing linebacker for “Linebacker U”.
Teenagers do some dumb things, don’t they?
By the way, this was my first Penn State football post for TiGO, and it was an unfortunate one. Of course.
